About E1W

Hi,

I’m Bal Simon – owner/manager/author/groundskeeper of ExtraordinaryInOneWay.com, or E1W for short.

ExtraordinaryInOneWay.com is about people, places, things & ideas that are extraordinary in at least one way. Not necessarily in all ways – one way will qualify. First out of the gate is my marriage of 20 years with my much better half, Donna. The extraordinary (though by no means unique) thing about our marriage is that in 20 years, we’ve had just 2 arguments that rose to the level of an emotional “fight” that caused us pain lasting more than a few minutes. In fact, one of them, Donna doesn’t even much remember, let alone consider a “fight.”

I’m not going to get detailed because what happens in a marriage is largely private, but I will say this: one “fight” involved me taking an evening to evaluate things and see that I really was mistaken after all – that involved a great deal of emotional pain for me; a little for Donna. The other involved me sulking for about a week.

Now as I write that, I realize just how “light-weight” that must seem to most other people. (I consider that a good thing for Donna and me.)

But we’ve been asked about this. How do we manage to stay so level-headed with each other. It’s not like the world has been supremely easy on us; and I do have arguments with other people (notably with my 16 year old son) that sometimes cause us emotional pain.

So I had to think about this, and the result was my first book: Extraordinary In One Way: Fight Less & Enjoy Your Marriage More, which you can learn about right here.

This website came started as a vehicle to sell my book. But the more I’ve thought about it, the more I see that it’s scalable to be a way to communicate about many people and things that are remarkable and extraordinary things in their own “one way.”

If you have a positive “extraordinary in one way” story to tell, please email me the details. Maybe we can discuss how to put your story on this website. (Wouldn’t that be cool?) Send an email with the subject line: “My E1W story” to stories at extraordinaryinoneway.com.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Oh – and if you haven’t already – please subscribe to my newsletter. You’ll be first to get the stories of positive people, places and things that are extraordinary in one way, and you’ll be first to hear about special offers on products and services that can help make your life extraordinary, perhaps in more than one way.

Regards,

Bal Simon,
